Logistics refer to the overall process of managing how resources are acquired, stored, and transported to their final destination. Logistics management involves identifying prospective distributors and suppliers and determining their effectiveness and accessibility. The personnel responsible for managing Logistics are referred to as logisticians. Logistics is used widely in the business sector, particularly by companies in the manufacturing sectors, to refer to how resources are handled and moved along the supply chain. India’s Logistics industry is set to touch USD 215 billion by 2020 registering an annual growth rate of 10.5% YoY from 2018. The major ports in India collectively handled 679.4 MT of cargo during 2017-18 compared to 648.4 MT a year ago; thereby reporting a growth of 4.8%. India’s Coal import also witnessed a growth rate of 8.8% taking it to 233.56 million tonnes in FY 19.

Suryansh Logistics has emerged as a pioneer in handling and transporting coal from Coal fields to various industrial plants such as Essar Group, Adani Group and Reliance Group among others. To become self-reliable in Logistics Management and provide increasingly efficient, time-bound and cost-conscious delivery of Coal; Suryansh Logistics, has now planned to acquire railway wagons privately under Government of India’s General-Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS).

With just 10% of Automobile currently being transported through Railways in India, the Railway with all the major key Automobile manufacturers in India is planning to increase the share of Railways in Automobile Logistics to 50% by 2030. Ascertaining immense potential and imperativeness of private funding in its effort to realize the objective, Government of India has liberalised Automotive Freight Train Operator (AFTO) policy thereby creating a prolific environment for private players to invest in the scheme and acquire wagons to transport Automobile through Railways. Suryansh Logistics, marking tremendous growth prospects in this sector is set to acquire BCACBM type railway wagons and consort long term contracts with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in India to provide high quality, fast, efficient and cost-conscious logistics of vehicles from manufacturing stock yards to its respective distribution hubs across the country.
